Really thought-provoking... instinctively, I have been *avoiding* using AI tools myself, even as, with slight distrust and distaste, I have been trying to teach my students how to use them effectively. Not because the tools themselves are bad - I don't have ANY trust in the makers of those tools. What are they taking from me for their own gain? Cursory research suggests they are taking my critical thinking ability, problem-solving ability, and maybe even an essential part of my humanity, my creativity and innovation...and merely simulating those things for me is enough to convince me to give up completely to the machine? Uffff....I can't....
